Deputy Commissioner is the administrative head of the District to whom the Civil as well as the Police and other Para-military forces have to report about law and order situation. The D.C. is also the head of all the Developmental agencies of the District and functions as sanctioning authority of Developmental funds.
The Official Chamber of D.C. is on the first floor of the District Court Building where D.C. is normally available from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days.
The Official Residence, i.e,the beautiful heritage Bungalow for D.C is situated on the bank of river Brahmaputra just a furlong away from the District Court Building.
